Clinical Trial Application
As clinical trials become increasingly complex, organizations face new development challenges while striving to expand their pipelines and improve success rates. With this in mind, I designed and developed a clinical trial application for our client. This new app accelerates trial insights by facilitating seamless data ingestion, employing standards-driven intelligent data flow, and serving as a leading cloud platform for data science. It provides real-time visibility into the performance of clinical studies, enabling users to quickly assess trial performance, whether managed in-house or outsourced. Understanding the specific needs of pharmaceutical and biotech organizations, we implemented features to expedite and enhance clinical trials, including improved patient identification, engagement, and insights, such as digital and siteless trial capabilities.
Inspiration
For each section of the new application, I began by researching similar applications and drawing inspiration from them.
Flows & Wireframes
I developed flows and wireframes for the different sections of the application, conducting feedback sessions with my team and the client. This iterative process ensured alignment among all stakeholders before proceeding to the final screen designs.
Clinical Trial Homepage
The application's homepage provides users with an overview of all ongoing studies. Users can easily grasp each study's enrollment status, patient adherence, and view enrollment trends on a month-to-month basis.
Clinical Trial Overview
Clicking on a specific clinical trial from the home screen directs users to its dedicated page, providing comprehensive details about the study. Here, users can access information on enrolled patients, enroll new patients, manage device connectivity, and identify areas where patients may require assistance with specific steps of the process.
Patient Enrollment
During the patient enrollment process, each step is clearly outlined, accompanied by detailed instructions to facilitate a smooth enrollment experience. For trials involving connected devices, users can easily access clear guidelines for connecting these devices to ensure seamless data transmission.
